HALE (house) HOAPILI LE’ALE’A (of merriment) is an elegant private residence located on a groomed acre a five-minute walk from historic Kealakekua Bay. It is designed to take advantage of the environment in true Polynesian fashion. The Tahitian style roof extends to create a deep verandah that wraps around three sides of the home, providing a large indoor/outdoor living area elevated over 20 feet off of the ground at its highest point. The view from the Hale is of spectacular Kealakekua Bay and the nearly vertical Pali (cliff) which forms the north rim of the Bay. The Bay lies south of Kailua-Kona, the main town on the West side of the Big Island of Hawaii, an approximate 40 minute drive from the airport. The great room is elegantly decorated with hand crafted koa wood furnishings, ceramic tile and tropical pacific art. The imported hardwood flooring and high open beam ceilings as well as many other special features make this Hale an exceptionally pleasurable environment for relaxation. The kitchen is fully appointed and includes a dishwasher and all major appliances. A clothes washer and dryer are also included for your convenience. <BR>
