Alice's Squaw Valley Retreat captures Lake Tahoe ski resort living at its finest. Upon entering this North Shore retreat, with its cozy warmth, comfortable furnishings, and classic Austrian style kitchen, you will feel relaxed and "at home". Many mornings begin gathering around the classic built in kitchen table, sharing coffee and pancakes while planning adventures on the ski slopes.  The fully equipped kitchen is well suited for preparing large batches of spaghetti and hearty winter stews.  Expansive picture windows in the adjacent living area cast magical mountain sunlight through the home. Enjoy exceptional views of Squaw Valley's mountain peaks in twilight, or catch a glimpse of the wind sock atop Tower One of the Cable Car in order to gauge the wind and weather you might encounter on the upper mountain before even leaving for the hill each morning. The living area offers comfortable and cushy seating space surrounding an inviting open fireplace. A card table sits between benches in a wooden alcove one level up, extending the ideal atmosphere for delving into the many jigsaw puzzles, board games or card games on the surrounding shelves.

If you want a bit more excitement the Village at Squaw Valley is a short walk from the home with all the great restaurants and nightlife that Squaw has to offer.  Although you can walk to the lifts of Squaw Valley in around 5 minutes we think it is a little far in ski boots so for skiing you may want to drive but you will be in the parking lot in a couple of minutes.

There are 5 bedrooms and 4 baths, all with bed and bath linens provided.  The master bedroom has incredibly views of the mountain and a large master bath.  The second master bedroom has an antique full bed and master bath.  The third bedroom shares a bathroom with the living area downstairs and the final two bedrooms share a bathroom. 

For those dedicated skiers there is also a ski tuning room in the basement.
