Casa Tortuga
Designed and built by a Taos artist, Casa Tortuga is a serenely contemporary interpretation of southwest themes, combining the traditional elements of vigas and kiva fireplace with original contemporary design. The open living areas flow to a secluded back patio of red sandstone and a colorful portico looking down on a view of wild sagebrush arroyos, across the green pastures of Lower Ranchitos, past the town of Taos in the distance to the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in the background.
The very private hot tub is graced by a flowing adobe privacy wall and redwood deck. Tasteful original art abounds inside and outside of this gracious two bedroom / two bathroom Taos vacation retreat.
