Taos Ski Valley Vacation Rentals

Chalet Swiss, an original Taos Ski Valley landmark was built by Walter Widmer who came to Taos from Switzerland as a young man in the 60's. As a result, this inviting chalet comes equipped with the ambiance of a Swiss ski chalet and was one of the first large chalets to be built in the early days in the history of this remarkable ski basin. Mr. Widmer still resides in Switzerland and his nieces and nephews still come to Taos to ski. 

This well maintained 3 story chalet has the flexibility of being rented as one large 5 to 6 bedroom 3 bathroom home or as a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom enabling smaller groups to enjoy the benefits of this charming historic vacation lodge. amp;nbsp;

Fantastic views of the lifts, runs and village are enjoyed from all 3 stories with the main level being equipped with a view balcony and firewood for both fireplaces. In addition, there are 3 flat screen satellite TV's (one on each level) and Wi-Fi internet access.

Parties with children and teens have the luxury of two living rooms (1st floor and 2nd floor) both equipped with flat screen satellite TV's and DVD players. An easy 3 minute walk to lifts, shops and eateries means you never have to get in your car until it's time to go home. 

Rented as the whole house, Chalet Swiss will sleep up to 12 guests in 5 bedrooms + 2nd living room as a sleeping area. Rented for smaller parties of 6 to 8, guests have 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms including a Queen, King or 2 twins, 1 set of bunk beds, a day bed + closet nook for 1 youngster. If you want to feel like you are skiing the Swiss Alps, come to Widmer and view across the village valley to Al's Run and Kachina Peak. Awesome!

Taos standard for "Ski in Ski Out" indicates one does not have to get in their car to reach the slopes, but rather that lifts and runs can be reached by a relatively short walk and/or pole. 

4x4 or chains recommended in winter to navigate short steep uphill driveway
